We had seen the signs for the Fantastic Caverns for years and always wanted to visit. With family visiting from out-of-state, we finally had the excuse to do so. If you follow the signs, you will find it. The gift shop is full of goodies for you to buy but most if not all of the rock items do not come from the cavern itself. The ride though the cavern was quite nice. If you are one of the lucky first four people in line, you have the option to ride in the jeep with the tour guide as opposed to the tram it pulls.

They were not joking when they say the cavern is 60 degrees. I didn't feel the need for a sweatshirt. In fact it was refreshing to get out of the hot sun and into the cool cavern. I have been in caverns before but they had always been hot and humid. The tour itself lasted under an hour and different formations were lit up beautifully and you are allowed to take flash photography. Be careful of the low rock areas.

I almost hit my head on a few occasions because I didn't pay attention. I found the history quite interesting from its initial discovery to its current days as a tourist attraction. I was glad to finally make the visit and will do it again someday.
